balantia connects to Health Connect to automatically sync your steps, workouts, and calories burned during exercisefrom compatible apps and devices.
balantia doesn't count steps itself. Instead, it uses data already recorded in Health Connect.
How to connect to Health Connect
On the “More” screen, select “Health Connect”.
Then:
Tap “Connect to Health Connect”.
Allow balantia to access the data needed for syncing.
Once the connection is complete, the status will show “CONNECTED”.
What if you don't have Health Connect?
On newer versions of Android, Health Connect is built into the system and can be found in your device's settings.
If it's not available or needs an update, balantia will guide you through installing or setting it up before you try connecting again.
What's needed for data to sync?
For syncing to work properly:
balantia needs permission to read the relevant data from Health Connect.
Your other apps and devices need to send their data to Health Connect, with the necessary write permissions.
Also, make sure the app or device you're expecting data from has recorded your activity and that the data is available in Health Connect.
When does your data update?
You can manually trigger a sync by pulling down on the Log or Overview screen.
What happens to calories burned during exercise?
Workouts synced from Health Connect are automatically logged in balantia, but their calories are not automatically added to your daily calorie target.
If you'd like to add them, open the workout in the Activities section and enable “Add to My Total”.
Steps are tracked separately and do not add calories to your daily target.
How to disconnect Health Connect
On the “More” screen, select “Disconnect Health Connect”.
You can also manage or revoke balantia's access permissions through your Health Connect settings.
