balantia connects to Apple Health to automatically sync your steps, workouts, calories burned during exercise, and distance traveled from your iPhone and Apple Watch.
balantia doesn't count your steps directly. Instead, it uses data already recorded in Apple Health.
How to connect Apple Health
On the “More” screen, select “Apple Health”.
Then follow these steps:
Tap “Connect Apple Health”.
In the Apple Health permissions window, select the types of data you'd like to share with balantia.
Tap “Allow” to complete the connection.
Once the connection is complete, the status will show “CONNECTED”.
How data syncs from your iPhone and Apple Watch
Data from your iPhone and Apple Watch is synced to balantia through Apple Health.
You don't need to connect each device separately. Just make sure Apple Health is connected to balantia and your devices are recording data in the Health app.
What to do if your data isn't syncing
If your data isn't showing up in balantia, first check that you've granted the necessary permissions.
Open “Settings” on your iPhone, go to “Health”, select “Data Access & Devices”, and then “balantia”.
Make sure you've allowed balantia to read the data you want to sync, such as steps, workouts, energy, and distance.
Also, check that the data has been recorded in Apple Health for the relevant day. If it's not available there, it can't sync to balantia.
When does your data update?
You can trigger a new sync by pulling down on the “Log” or “Overview” screen.
What happens to calories burned during exercise?
Workouts synced from Apple Health are automatically logged in balantia, but their calories are not automatically added to your daily calorie target.
If you'd like to add them, open the workout in the “Activities” section and enable “Add to My Total”.
Steps are tracked separately and do not add calories to your daily target.
