How do I connect balantia to Apple Health on iPhone?

Track activity on iOS devices

balantia connects to Apple Health to automatically sync your steps, workouts, calories burned during exercise, and distance traveled from your iPhone and Apple Watch.

balantia doesn't count steps itself. Instead, it uses data already recorded in Apple Health.

How to connect to Apple Health

On the “More” screen, select “Apple Health”.

Then:

  1. Tap “Connect to Apple Health”.

  2. In the Apple Health permissions window, select the data categories you want to share with balantia.

  3. Tap “Allow” to complete the connection.

Once connected, the status will show “CONNECTED”.

How data syncs from your iPhone and Apple Watch

Data from your iPhone and Apple Watch syncs with balantia through Apple Health.

You don't need to connect each device separately. Just make sure you've connected balantia to Apple Health and that your devices are recording their data in the Health app.

What to do if your data isn't syncing

If your data isn't appearing in balantia, first check that you've granted the necessary permissions.

On your iPhone, open Settings, select Health, then Data Access & Devices, and choose balantia.

Make sure you've allowed balantia to read the data you want to sync, such as steps, workouts, energy burned, and distance.

Also, check that the data has been recorded in Apple Health for the relevant day. If it isn't available there, it can't sync with balantia.

When does your data update?

You can manually trigger a sync by pulling down on the Log or Overview screen.

What happens to calories burned during exercise?

Workouts synced from Apple Health are automatically logged in balantia, but their calories are not automatically added to your daily calorie target.

If you'd like to add them, open the workout in the Activities section and enable “Add to My Total”.

Steps are tracked separately and do not add calories to your daily target.
