Can I see a detailed breakdown of my nutrient intake?

Get informed about the calories and nutrients in foods.

balantia provides detailed information about the calories and nutrients in the foods and meals you log, as well as your overall daily intake.

Each entry automatically updates your calorie and nutrient totals for individual foods, meals, and the entire day, along with how much you have left to reach your daily targets.

What nutritional information can I see for each food?

On each food's screen, you can see the calories and main macronutrients for your selected serving size. Tap “Show All Nutrients” to view its full nutritional breakdown, including:

  • fat and saturated fat

  • carbohydrates and sugars

  • fiber

  • protein

  • sodium and cholesterol

  • vitamins and minerals

For each nutrient, you'll see the amount it contains based on your selected serving size. For nutrients with a defined daily target or limit, you'll also see how much you have remaining for the day, helping you evaluate your intake against your goals.

For other nutrients, only the amount is displayed.

If “n/a” (not available) appears, it means that data for that nutrient isn't available, not that its content is zero.

This helps you better understand the nutritional value of each food and make more informed choices.

Meal and daily nutrition analysis

  • For each meal: You can view a summary of its macronutrient breakdown and access a detailed analysis of all nutrients.

  • For your overall diet: On the “Log” screen, tap the macronutrient bars to open “Nutrition Analytics”. There, you can track your nutrient intake against your daily targets and limits for today or over longer periods (7, 15, 30, or 60 days).

This gives you a detailed picture of your nutrition and helps you make adjustments to better support your goals.
