Yes, you can log your daily food intake in several ways, depending on what works best for you.
Adding foods and meals
On the “Log” screen, each meal (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks) has its own + button. If you've enabled Intermittent Fasting, the + button appears next to the hours of the day instead.
From the food search screen, you can:
Search for foods by typing their names.
Easily find foods and meals under Recent, My Meals, My Foods, and Favorites. Below your recently logged foods, you'll also find Frequent, making it easy to access foods you eat most often.
Use smart nutrition filters to find foods that match your needs.
You can add a food directly or adjust the serving size and other details before logging it.
Other ways to log food
The app also offers several ways to log what you eat:
Meal or label photo: Take a photo of your meal or a product's nutrition label and let AI identify the foods and their nutritional information.
Voice logging: Simply say what you ate and let the app do the logging.
Barcode scanning: Scan a packaged product's barcode to quickly find its nutritional information.
Create a new food: Under “Create New”, select “New Food” to manually add a food with your own nutritional information.
Build Your Own: Under “Create New”, select “Build Your Own” to create a meal or drink using your preferred ingredients, such as your own sandwich, burger, souvlaki, pizza, salad, or coffee. balantia automatically calculates its total nutritional value.
Foods created using photos or voice logging are saved in “My Foods”, so you can use them again whenever you like. You'll also find any meals or drinks you choose to save using “Build Your Own” in the same section.
Quickly log meals again
If you often eat the same meals, you don't need to log everything from scratch. Tap a meal (e.g., Breakfast or Lunch) to open “Meal Analysis”, where you can:
Select “Copy to Another Day” to copy the entire meal to any date you choose.
Select “Save to My Meals” to store it under “My Meals” for easy logging in the future.
Other features
You can also edit your entries, change serving sizes and times, or move foods from one meal to another.
On the “Log” screen, you can also track your water intake and physical activity.
This gives you complete flexibility in how you log your food and a comprehensive overview of your meals and daily nutritional intake.
