Yes. balantia calculates the extra calories you burn during exercise and lets you add them to your daily calorie target if you choose.
How does it work?
On the “Log” screen, find the “Activities” section and tap + to add a workout.
You can choose from the available activities, your favorites, or activities you've created yourself. Then, enter the duration and, where applicable, the intensity of your workout. The app will automatically calculate the extra calories you've burned.
If you want these calories added to your daily calorie target, enable “Add to My Total” before saving the workout. Otherwise, your activity will still be logged without affecting your calorie target.
When you choose to add exercise calories, your daily calorie target automatically increases, and the corresponding indicator appears in the “Calorie Goal” card.
Automatic activity syncing
If you've connected balantia to Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android), your workouts can be logged automatically.
Calories from these activities are not automatically added to your daily target. You can open each workout in the “Activities” section and enable “Add to My Total” if you wish.
How does this affect your nutrition targets?
When you add exercise calories, balantia also automatically adjusts the nutrient targets and limits that depend on your calorie target, including carbohydrates, fat, saturated fat, sugars, and fiber.
Your protein target and sodium limit remain unchanged. If you're following a “Low Carb” or “Keto” nutrition plan, your daily carbohydrate limit also stays the same.
Steps are tracked separately and do not add calories to your daily target.
You can change your preference at any time by reopening a logged workout and enabling or disabling “Add to My Total”.
This allows you to adjust your daily calorie target based on the extra energy you expend during exercise, particularly on more active days.
